No. This is a non-accredited awareness course. Any authorisation, delegation or additional training required to administer injections is governed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission’s Practice Standards, your employer’s clinical governance and delegation policies, and the participant’s individual NDIS plan.
What does the course cover?
Subcutaneous injection basics, an overview of injection sites, infection control, sharps safety, recognising adverse reactions, and documentation for NDIS and care-sector support workers.
Is this course accredited?
No, it’s a non-accredited course. You’ll receive a Certificate of Completion.
How is it delivered?

How long does the certificate last?

No — this course builds awareness only. Any specific delegation to administer injections for a participant must come through your employer’s clinical governance process and the participant’s NDIS plan.

Is this course specific to insulin, or does it cover other subcutaneous medications too?
