Online Pre-Theory –
Theory must be completed at least 24hrs prior to attending your class. Failure to complete theory will result in your booking being cancelled and all monies forfeited. Trainers are provided the class list detailing theory completion results the day prior to class.

FAQ
Advanced First Aid — common questions
Which First Aid Course Do I Need?
The right course depends on your workplace, industry, personal requirements, and in this case your level of responsibility. HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is the standard first aid qualification required for most Australian workplaces. If you work in a childcare, early learning, or education and care environment, you may require HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting.
For those working in higher risk environments, or those assigned as Work Health and Safety officers, HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid is the right course.
How Often Do I Need to Renew HLTAID014?
The HLTAID014 Provide Advanced First Aid qualification should be renewed every 3 years. The CPR component included within the course, HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, is recommended by the Australian Resuscitation Council to be refreshed annually.
What Additional Topics and Skills Does HLTAID014 Cover?
HLTAID04 expands upon the foundations set by the HLTAID011 course. It is ideal for people handling more complex emergencies and those who are responsible for the safety of more people or teams. As such, HLTAID014 teaches more advanced skills like setting up triage, legal and documentation requirements, advanced CPR, and advanced trauma management just to name a few.
Does my employer need to nominate me as a first aid officer to take this course?
No — anyone can book this course, though it’s specifically designed for designated workplace first aid officers and workers in high-risk or remote settings.
What should I bring to class?
Bring photo ID and your USI (Unique Student Identifier). If you haven’t registered for a USI yet, you can do so for free before your course.
