First time I've enrolled with the company CPR First Aid for the first time. The Trainer that I had today, 19-06-2020... in flinders Street, 'Chris' is excellent. His experience in delivering First Aid is awesome and professional. He makes first aid fun compared to other places which I've been in the past. The trainer Chris applies real life scenarios as a first aider. I highly recommend CPR First Aid, and if you end up with Chris as your trainer, you'll have an enjoyable experience. Well done guys! Just completed my CPR first aid training with Lynette, and it was a super informative, supportive and friendly. Lynette... made sure to keep it interesting and engaging the whole time. She answered all our questions, and you can really tell she was trying to help us succeed rather than wanting us to fail. I really like that you can do the theory in your own time first, and then the practical only takes a few hours. Will definitely be coming back when I need to renew my certificate again.read more

I’ve been doing their CPR and first aid course for over 3 years now. Every year I get a reminder email that your... certificate is expiring soon and kindly provides some promotions for enrolling into the courses. On Monday afternoon CPR Express session with Lynette, it was a small group so we could interact more with each other and the trainer. All you need to do is complete the online theory before attending classes to save your time. Lynette was very friendly, informative and helpful in terms of giving feedback to each and everyone of us when doing the practical components of CPR. She has a bright and positive personality which helped me engaging in the class content more. The class also follows COVID precautions with giving us hand sanitisers before and after using the mannequin, wiping with alcohol wipes and providing a face shield for CPR component. I can’t recommend this place highly enough and will continue to do their first aid courses in the future.read more

CPR first aid included an online component before class with multiple assessments, and a face to face component with... an experienced trainer. Information and practical components included overhead PowerPoint, manikins, first aid equipment that we wiped down after use.Most of the slides were on point and current. However,there were a couple of sides with differing definitions of a child. One was person under age 18 and another under age 8 and apparently, another under 12. The trainer discussed this with the group.There was a slide called the back smack used for a choking infant. However, Felix demonstrated a chest squeeze instead. Perhaps there are different ideas about choking first aid.I found Felix to hold a wealth of knowledge and experience from his personal and professional life. This brought the course to life.The course was not rushed. Some components of theory were omitted from practical, including emergency childbirth. The air viva was not assessed either. Felix tailored the course to suit our group and he encouraged us to participate and ask questions.Overall, I really enjoyed the training and would recommend it to others.read more

I went to the CPR/First Aid refresher course over the weekend and it was so efficient while also being thorough and... covering all the information that was in the online modules. The presenter was super helpful and answered all of our questions, and also asked us if we had any particular areas of interest or concern which was great as we were able to have an open discussion about various topics. The online portal was easy to navigate and provided all the information needed so the face to face course could cement the practical aspects of the training. CPR Training for any first aid related courses are reliable, quick and easy to follow. This was my second time... attending their facilities in Pitt St to complete a course and I can honestly say, they are the only company I have ever gone to who provide a refresher; normally companies call it a refresher and it is still a full course run as if you have never done CRP or first aid before. I highly recommend CPR First Aid. My partner has used CPR First Aid for over 5 years and I have been for over 3 years... now to complete our First Aid and CPR Training that is a requirement of our work. We have been to other First Aid & CPR providers, but nothing compares. It is really easy to book online, reasonably priced and the online theory is really easy to follow & read with detailed instructional videos. The face-to-face classes/assessments have always been really helpful and NOT boring. We’ve always had really great trainers who make us feel comfortable and give us really handy tips. The online modules have spelling errors, incorrect information, and ask questions within the first module 1 that are... from a different module like that of number 9. This company is not friendly to first-time users of the company's system or obtainment of certificates. Anthony was very rude and blunt this morning when I arrived and was incredibly unprofessional when I had been given incorrect information by the head office. Stating he was too busy to have strangers arriving and lacked professional handling skills when I attempted to explain my confusion, distress, discomfort, and what I had been directed to do by his company. The disconnect between the office and trainers regarding information about rescheduling/what had been booked is not the customer's fault. The situation should have been handled better and more professionally, have requested an approved refund and will not train with this company again. The price matches the quality of customer service and user-friendly systems.read more

The coursework needs to be tried and tested by the trainers so they can suggest updates to the course material. Emails sent from admin team also had broken links. Enjoyed my time on this course! I usually dread my first aid training as it’s so heavy on the theory and you don’t... spend much time practically learning . But CPR First Aid was not like that at all! I loved having the ability to complete the online theory before attending the day so that I could go through things at my own pace and note down any questions. Then on the day we went through all of the topics again but in a much more practical and discussion based format where everyone was able to ask as many questions as we wanted without feeling rushed for time. I’ve been doing my cpr/first aid cert for years but this is the first time I’ve left a course actually confident in my ability as a first aider! I’ll be back in 12 months to renew my cpr for sure!read more

I did my First Aid training in the beginning of March and I had a trainer by the name of Tony Gordan, and all I can say... is wow. I have done many first aid training as I work in childcare for over 10 years now and I have never been trained the way Tony trained us. He actually trained us like it was a real incident. He put pressure on us and honestly I was blown away. We do this training and we all giggle and laugh but honestly when we have to use these skills no one will be laughing. I have implemented amazing techniques and strategies that Tony taught me at my own childcare. I could not recommended this place any more. Training with CPR First Aid was dynamic and memorable. Tony was my trainer and his skill and experience made the lesson... easy to retain. I haven’t been shown how to resuscitate an infant before or put it in the recovery position and I am happy to say I know this now and also how to transfer an infant to someone else. I also know how to administer an epipen. The online learning was also very clear and concise and easy to remember. I work in the childcare industry and just did my CPR Practical component of the express refresher course, I didn't... catch the name of my instructor but he was very clear with his communication, demonstrated and explained things professionally and had a very welcoming, warm and positive nature to him which made for a supportive learning environment. The online theory provided an excellent understanding to CPR/First Aid and although there is a lot of information to read through, it was easy to understand and grasp. The mini exams online don't ask anything that isn't in the information booklets/segments (which, if read and understood properly, isn't difficult) or that you can't use your own common sense for. Overall, a very good, fun and positive experience as well as value for money, I highly recommend this company to anyone needing to obtain their First Aid/CPR training!The place is relatively easy to find as well, I did get confused at first but they have big orange posters at the front of the stairway/front entrance which are easy to spot once you arrive.read more

I was able to complete my CPR certificate on Sunday, which was awesome because it was the only time I had free for... weeks, so the fact that I was able to get it done on the morning of ANZAC day was ideal! Ken the instructor was lovely, I mentioned a previous injury I was a little worried about and he let me know it shouldn’t be affected in performing CPR. I loved that I could do the theory online before attending the session, so I felt fully prepared when I walked into the room. 5/5 would recommend to anyone, have already recommended to my sister who is looking into getting her first aid certificate. It is super affordable and really thorough which meant I walked away confident that I have the knowledge to be able to help someone if needed.read more

I highly recommend completing your CPR/first aid through this company. First trainer I had was Theo he was great!... Explained everything clear, was interacting with each and every one of us. A year later I came back to refresh my CPR, I had a different trainer who was Steve. He was also great, he explained everything with a lot of detail and was very honest. Everything about the CPR was awesome! I really liked how they had the videos for the theory before you went to your... class. I’m more of a visually learner so watching the videos helped the information stay in my brain a lot more then just reading theory! So this year I went into the class feeling pretty confident. I really loved the guy that took our class! He conducted the class with more of a hands on approach! And asked us all questions which made everyone involved. He also would cover some very small details with cpr that is important to know that you wouldn’t even think of! Just had the First Aid and CPR (3.5 hr) course and it was really good.The trainer Duncan was clearly passionate about... his work and highly experienced. Not just a skilled First Aider, but a good teacher as well. (Teaching is definitely its own set of skills!) He was able to go through the information in an efficient but interesting way with a very good balance between theoretical and practical with meaningful and relevant real world examples.Also, despite the fact that the price was the cheapest I could find compared to any other First Aid provider, the facilities and materials were all really good.The online materials were also solid and provided a good preparation and support for the face-to-face training.Overall, it was a really good experience and I recommend it to anyone who wants to learn First Aid and CPR.read more

This place can be hard to find if you're not familiar with Parramatta, so they send you an email that clearly shows where they're located with photos of where they are exactly, what common place they're near, where you can park and a link to google maps. I think you'd have to be pretty talented to not find this place after all of that effort. So helpful!I just completed the refresher course and it wasn't rushed, but was over and done with in an hour and 15 minutes. Tony was enthusiastic with... his teaching. He always encouraged questions, was engaging but also straight to the point. You can tell when people know what they're talking about when they can teach something well and maintain a friendly etiquette simultaneously. Even one woman was (in my opinion) a little frustrating to listen to when she asked her questions, but Tony was still really accommodating for her in the nicest way.We didn't have a large class today which would have also contributed to the pace of the class and I guess its just nice not being stuck in a room that's overcrowded with people.Will definitely come back for my future refresher courses.read more

The online lessons were very useful as I could learn at my own pace and get a good understanding of the theory. The face-to-face practical session really helped in consolidating the theory and the hands-on approach made me feel more prepared for an emergency situation. I've been doing my CPR trainings with CPR First Aid for 3 years now. Their trainers are HIGHLY knowledgeable and knows their craft really well. I’ve been doing my first aid and CPR courses here for a few years now. The trainers have always been fantastic. Always... knowledgeable, approachable, and enthusiastic, as well as very friendly! I did an express first aid course yesterday and had Tracy as my trainer. She was awesome! The class ran on time and Tracy made it so much better than just your average first aid/CPR course. There’s also plenty of parking available at the Bundoora location which makes it so much less stressful as you arrive! When i booked first aid and cpr last year because it was the cheapest one available in Melbourne. But it really... surprised me the quality of training with online modules and practical. This year also i refreshed CPR with same provider and venue. I also recommended to all my colleagues and already 5 of my colleagues started doing it in the same venue and all of them are very happy about the convenience of online theory, rate and quality of the training. This year 30 minutes express CPR also surprised me as the trainer Elssy did an amazing job in that 30 minutes to make sure everyone do it properly even if it was express course and she completed it on time as well.
