We recommend the HLTAID011 Provide first aid course. This also includes CPR qualification. The Australian Resuscitation Council
(ARC) recommends that this qualification is updated every 3 years. We provide express, regular and full First Aid course options
depending on if you are updating your qualification or are taking this for the first time.

Looking to update your CPR qualification?

We recommend the HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation course. The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC)
recommends that this qualification is updated annually. We provide express, short and regular CPR course options depending on
if you are updating your qualification or are taking this for the first time.

Need a first aid qualification to work in the childcare and education industry?

You need to enrol in the HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in education and care setting course. If you are
working with children in Geelong, you are also be required to obtain first aid training qualifications in Asthma and Anaphylaxis.

Please check with the employer before enrolling, so that client gets the correct training for his or her circumstance.

Note: An Express Class is an ASSESSMENT ONLY course and is only applicable to those who hold current qualifications and train
annually. If you do not complete these courses regularly, we recommend you book into our REGULAR or Full Length Course. It will
be difficult to complete the class assessments without prior learning.

Why are your prices low?

To keep our training costs down a large component of our courses are completed as theory at home prior to the class. And by not supplying refreshments on the day of training we are able to keep our prices low and offer student pricing for all.

It also means we can focus on the fun stuff on the day of the class, and incorporate more practical exercises and assessments rather than a theory-based class environment.

Are you an accredited RTO?

Our courses are nationally accredited and are the same courses delivered nationally by any other RTO (Registered Training Organisation) provider. All of our courses must follow the ARC guidelines if delivered in Australia to make them compliant.

Which is the best first aid course for me?

If you need a general First Aid qualification, we recommend the HLTAID011 Provide first aid. This also includes CPR qualification. The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends updating this qualification every 3 years.

If you want to update CPR qualification then we recommend HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation. The Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) recommends updating this qualification annually.

If you are looking for a first aid qualification to work in the childcare and education industry and require Anaphylaxis and Asthma training ONLY, you should consider HLTAID012 Provide an emergency first aid response in education and care setting.

If you are working with children in Victoria, you are also be required to obtain first aid training qualifications in Asthma and Anaphylaxis. You need to check with the employer before enrolling, so that the client gets the proper training for their circumstance.

How long with the pre-course theory take to complete?

The pre-study consists of multiple choice questions which can be done online.

Pre-study takes on average 5-8 hours. 95% of students prefer the online method (as opposed to attending another day) as it is convenient and cost effective.

Can I get first aid certified online without coming to class?

Online First Aid courses are not accredited, so they can’t be used for certification or employment purposes. The First Aid course assessment requires practical demonstration of CPR. This means that you will have to use an actual manekin, which is not available online for any reason and can only be found at real life training courses.

Does the Provide First Aid Course include CPR?

Yes. Your first aid certificate will state that you’re qualified to provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) because it’s part of the training for those who have obtained their certification.

Does the first aid course include the 22101VIC Defibrillation course?

Defibrillation training is now a component of the 009 course, there is no longer a stand alone 22101VIC course

When will I get my certificate?

Our statement (certificate) will be emailed upon successful completion after 7pm the same day for morning classes, or next day for afternoon classes.

How often should I do my first aid certificate?

Your first aid qualifications will not expire. However, it is recommended that you update your qualification for First Aid every 3 years.

Most workplaces will require staff to have updated qualifications and because course codes can change every 2-3 years it is usually a requirement that first aiders hold a qualification for a current course.

What is your COVID policy?

CPR First Aid essential service and still able to deliver first aid and CPR courses. We are actively monitoring advice from the Australian Government, the Chief Medical Office and the Australian First Aid Training Council in relation to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and precautions we must put in place to ensure client health and safety in our classes.

We have implemented and encouraged clients to adhere witrh our stringent hygiene practices:

– hand washing / sanitising (20 second hand washing) before and after entering the class
– hand washing / sanitising after touching any equipment
– handwashing / sanitising is also enforced if a learner touches any personal belongings, such as a mobile phone, in the class environment
